Take Five - Drawings and Prizes

When are the Drawings?

Each day at 11:21 p.m., 5 winning numbers are randomly selected from 39 numbered balls in a special draw machine, under the observation of an independent auditing firm. Tune in to live drawings on your local New York Lottery drawing station. Click here to find the TV station in your area and other ways to find out if you've won!

Prize money allocation

For each Take Five draw, 50% of the sales for the draw is allocated as prize money. This money is distributed as follows:

First Prize 20%
Second Prize 30%
Third Prize 50%
Fourth Prize FREE PLAY

How is the jackpot prize determined and paid?

The actual prize awarded at each level is determined by dividing the prize money available for that prize level by the number of winners at that level. If there is no FIRST PRIZE winner for a given drawing, the FIRST PRIZE pool monies will be added to the SECOND PRIZE pool and divided evenly among the SECOND PRIZE winners. The prize money for Take Five is not carried forward to the next drawing.
