November 10, 2009-Henry Zetwick of Brooklyn won $500,000 playing the Lottery’s Pick 10 game. “Pick 10 is one of my favorite Lottery games. I usually choose my own numbers but this time I decided to buy a Quick Pick ticket and I won,” said Zetwick, who works for Verizon. He purchased his winning PICK 10 ticket at Optimo Convenience Store, 4019 13th Ave., Brooklyn.
To win the Pick 10 top prize, players must match 10 of 20 numbers drawn from a field of 80. The $500,000 jackpot is paid in a lump sum, less required tax withholdings. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 8,911,711. Overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 17.
